M. Night Shyamalan is back with kooky-horror "The Visit".

"The Visit follows the story of a single mother (Kathryn) who finds that things in her family’s life go very wrong after her two young children visit their grandparents."

As a child, M. Night Shyamalan caught my attention with films like The Sixth Sense, The Village and The Lady in the Water, I thought he had an interesting take on horror and how he mixed it at times with fantasy and really cool twists at the end of his movies.

After a few disappointments like Devil, The Last Airbender and The Happening, I wasn't really expecting much from The Visit, but now I'm pleased to say that I actually loved this film.

While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, it's a pretty solid return for this director and will definitely entertain you and keep you hooked throughout the whole time.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the star of this movie was Ed Oxenbould, who plays a germ-phobic aspiring rapper. Yup, you read it right. This kid was absolutely hilarious in the way he portrayed his role.

From rap battles, to jumping out of your sit scared, The Visit ended up being a perfect mix of horror and comedy, with a shocking twist you will never expect towards the end of the movie, that will become your worst nightmare if you're a parent.

Final Rating: 7/10.
